Background and Aim: the law related to addiction prevention, treatment of drug addicts and support for people at risk of addiction with educational and prevention approach, tries to involve other government institutions in the fight against addiction and one of the most important institutions is Education Organization. Article 5 of this regulation is dedicated to it. The purpose of this research is to study and theoretical-practical study of the mentioned article.
Method: The present study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive and correlational in terms of method. The data collection method includes the study of documents in the theoretical part and the survey method in the quantitative part. The data collection tool in the survey section is a questionnaire. The statistical population includes principals, deputies, teachers related to the research topic of schools in District 7 of education. Using random sampling, 200 people were selected as the sample size.
Results and conclusion: The results of the study showed that despite the efforts made in education, this institution in its high schools has made little or no effort to prevent the crime of addiction and limited efforts in providing educational content in textbooks, plan Success in life skills course, holding numerous conferences and seminars, using scientific and religious counselors in schools to prevent the crime of addiction, and the concepts of addiction prevention have not yet been introduced in education curricula, and principals and teachers believe that due to lack Budget and facilities, basic measures are not taken in schools for education and prevention of addiction. Therefore, in order to implement Article 5 of the Addiction Prevention Regulations, it is suggested that education, in cooperation with the Anti-Narcotics Headquarters, take basic preventive measures in the field of students' addiction.
