In recent years, the restorative justice approach has been suggested as an effective method in the third phase of crime prevention in the police force. This approach introduces creative and dynamic criminal justice in order to legalize and expand non-criminal justice and in relation to human concepts and cultures and values of civil society. The main objectives of restorative justice are: the principle of personal relationships, compensation, re-socialization, and social norms. The element of restorative justice in this article is voluntary, truth-telling, confrontation, agreement, support, non-disclosure. This research was conducted through survey and questionnaire technique in nine suburbs of Arak city using three-stage sampling method. A simple quota, cluster and random sample of 379 households with emphasis on the theory of justice The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the impact of police restorative functions on tertiary prevention of theft. Results of data analysis showed that all the research hypotheses were confirmed and based on Kendall correlation coefficients between all independent variables with theft prevention. There is a significant relationship and the most influential variable is truth telling. Based on the results of the research, emphasis is placed on the role of the police as facilitator, promotion of restorative justice in NSA programs, utilization of in-house capacities and specialized training of personnel.
